Epicanthoplasty

This is a common aesthetic eyelid surgery popular amongst Asian descendants globally. This skin fold over the inner corner of the upperlids can be cosmetically altered to make the “double eyelid” in asian appear wider and more pronounced. It can also be done in cases where skin is too tight causing inward rolling of upper eyelid lashes.

This patient desired to have the right upper eyelid epicanthal fold release to give her a more uniform upper lid skin fold while wanted to increase the fold height on her left eye. Epicanthoplasty was performed on both sides for her. Left also had additional blepharoplasty.
